African mask

The mask I've choose was made by the Bobo people, the Bobo people live in Eastern Burkina Faso. The  mask is 27 inches long and its made out of painted wood the paint was made out off plants. The Bobo carve masks  symbolize animals or spirits of the bush. They're worn during ceremonies associated with a new crop and  funerals. When danced the mask is attached to a black or red dyed grass costume that starts from under  the neck  and covers the dancer's body to his feet. This mask represents the tribe with its paterns and the way it was designed colored and carved. I choose this mask because i liked the way it looked and thought that it must have been hard to make, plus i liked how a mask can say so much about a tribe, i  learned that every tribe has a different way of carving and painting their masks and thats what it makes it unique.

My proverb: Do not follow a person who is running away

Do not follow a person who is running away means that a person who runs away from difficult situasions is not right and must not be copied. Difficult situasion might be to try to find answers to problems, to homework and etc.
